Your bedroom is where you start and end each day so it only makes sense that you would invest the effort of making it a space that feels cozy, luxurious, and completely you. Invest in storage

Personally, I can't relax if my space feels cluttered. Invest in storage for under the bed, the closet, and your nightstand to keep things out of sight and out of mind.

A silk pillowcase

Silk pillowcases are shown to help your skin and hair by providing a smooth, low-friction surface. They reduce wrinkles, help control frizzy and tangled hair, and keep both skin and hair hydrated. (You can read more about them here.) Plus they're super comfy so swap out your old pillowcase for one like this from Lingsilk.

I have their 19MM silk pillowcase in the color Caramel and LOVE it!

Don't forget the tech

I know, I know, you're supposed to limit tech use in the bedroom for a good night's sleep. But come on, we're all doing it. Grab an extra long charging cord so you aren't chained to a wall while chilling on your phone.

While you're at it, add a smart plug or smart bulbs to this space so you can turn off the lights from the comfort of your bed.

Lighting is everything

Another plus to having smart bulbs in your bedroom is that you'll be able to control the brightness and warmth of the lighting in your space for when you want to set a cozy mood.

A diffuser

Incorporate a little aromatherapy in your space by keeping a diffuser on your nightstand or dresser. It'll be safer than a candle and still give you that relaxing vibe. I suggest scents like rosemary, lavender, jasmine, citrus, or whatever calms you most.

Play with textures

Layers are the key to a cozy bed and varying the textures of those layers will definitely upgrade your space. A throw blanket or throw pillows are the perfect way to really go for it when it comes to texture. Depending on the season, you can use linen, velvet, flannel, faux fur, cashmere, waffle knits, chunky knits, embroidered pieces, you name it!

Electric blanket

This is the electric blanket I've basically been living in this past winter. It's the softest faux fur so extremely cozy even when it's turned off. I have a queen size which has two sets of controls so Nathan and I don't have to fight over the heat settings.
