I usually like to add a little Christmas decor to each room of the house, but I've never gone all out in a space other than the living room. This year I wanted to change things up and give the master bedroom a complete Christmas makeover!
I started with a 6' King Noble Fir from King of Christmas and actually had this tree up and decorated long before the main Christmas tree. I kept the decor minimal and natural with just a few large white ornaments hung with ribbon, dried orange slices, and large vintage-style lights. The toile tree skirt is from Target a couple years ago and the gorgeous deer tree topper is also from Target (this year).

I placed my mirrored wardrobe doors in the corner behind the tree to reflect the lights into the rest of the space. My plan is to paint the doors white, but that's a task that keeps getting bumped down on the to do list so we'll see if it happens before Christmas.
If we're doing a complete Christmas makeover, we can't just add a tree to a corner and call it a day, can we? My standing wardrobe is something I use to incorporate my favorite seasonal outfits into my room decor so I swapped out my fall favorites for cozy, winter knits and some boots. It's a stylish AND functional space that gives the room some extra comfy texture. I also added some string lights for a little warmth and sparkle. Opposite the wardrobe we finally hung one of my painted windows! I'm hoping to repaint it with a Christmas design, but I'm not sure I'll have time so the Mother Teresa quote may stay for the Christmas season.
My bedroom normally has a lot of bright colors that I wanted to tone down so I shopped my home and made a few changes these bird prints above our nightstands. Both sets are thrifted and I'm obsessed with the new neutral ones! (I do think they might be hung a little too high, but I didn't want to stick another nail in the wall so I'm just using what's already there.) I added a few Christmas-y details here and there as well like stockings at the end of the bed, my vintage nutcracker, a large spool of ribbon, and baskets of beaded garland and balls of yarn.

To bring some more traditional Christmas tones into the space, I moved this green leather chair into the corner and added a red nordic throw and this comfy, plaid deer pillow from Levtex Home. On the opposite side of the room, I rearranged my dormer into another cozy corner and draped my blush bench with a vintage red plaid throw.

Now for the best part, the bed!
I love my bed so I couldn't leave it out of all the holiday fun! First, I grabbed a new bedskirt from Amazon to hide all our under-bed storage. Then I flipped my floral quilt to its reverse, neutral side. I layered this beautiful new deer quilt from Levtex Home (all of the bedding used is from them) and some festive, but neutral pillows and I couldn't be happier with the look! I love that all the traditional Christmas colors are included, but aren't super bold and showy.
My room is still a calm, relaxing place, just with a little extra holiday flair. I feel like the styles I've chosen will translate well into winter decor after the 25th which is a big plus! How cute will this deer quilt be layered with my blush pink blanket in February??
You may notice from the pictures that the deer quilt is reversible too and I'm excited to flip it over to the red striped side and play around with some different looks soon!
This room makeover has been so fun to work on and has really gotten me into the holiday spirit and ready to decorate the rest of the house! I highly recommend turning your bedroom into a cozy Christmas retreat.
