There's one section of the thrift store you might be passing over that's got some gems if you know how to look. Next time you're thrifting, don't skip the men's section. You'll have to do a little digging, but you can find great button downs, blazers, sweaters, and more. Here are a few of my favorite thrifted pieces found in the men's section.
Extra large sweaters make great cozy dresses. I like to belt mine and pair with with a pair of boots and sometimes tights.
You can always find quality button downs perfect for that casual, oversized look.
Accessories like cufflinks and watches can be really fun to find and style.
"Dad" shirts can be very entertaining to sift through in my opinion and occasionally I find one I just have to bring home like this vintage fishing shirt.
And, of course, sweater vests. Perfect for a preppy look whether they're fitted or oversized. I like to juxtapose this traditionally masculine style with a pair of heels.
