A Birthday Antique Haul

This year, my birthday and Mother's Day fell on the same weekend so I had a weekend full of antique shops and thrifting. I spent hours combing through some of my favorite spots and came home with quite a few treasures. Here's what I got, how I styled it, and a peek at what I left behind.

I have a collection of little brass bell ladies so when I spotted this one, I knew I had to bring her home.

Here she is with her new friends in the library.

I've been on the hunt for a new denim jacket for a while and while this one isn't vintage, I love the shape and the worn-in feel of it.

It's the perfect piece to wear with this adorable teddy bear pin I picked up too!

My favorite antique store find was this horse painting. I'm obsessed with the contrast and richness and it was 20% off!

Nathan says he's a little creepy, but I absolutely love him.

And here are a few of the things I would've loved to bring home, but ultimately left behind.

I was so close to getting this stunning blue and white set. It would have gone beautifully in my kitchen and I love that it still has the matching lid, but it had a crack in one of the dishes so I left it.

These Dalmatians would be so perfect in my dressing room next to my vintage Dalmatian sketches. I didn't get them on this trip, but will be checking if they're still there soon.

I thought this fish vase was so pretty and it reminded me of a fish plate I have on my plate wall.

Another blue and white fish find. This guy was so heavy and I love his creepy little smile. Maybe I should check back for him too.

This vintage, embroidered butterfly dress. So adorable!

Lastly, this french tray that matches an antique dish I have at home. I'm really tempted to go back for this one too, but it might be too large to be practical for my kitchen.

I'm convinced there's no better way to spend a birthday than lost in an antique shop.
